The micro computer with digital LCD display allows for easy temperature selection and operation. The 1/10 HP Chiller will take 10° F off the ambient temperature of 93 gallons, and 30° F off the ambient temprature of 35 gallons. That is, it will take 90° F water and turn it into 60° F water. The 1/4 HP Chiller and the 1/2 HP Chiller can do the same thing to larger quantities of water. Summertime warm tap water and nutrient solution can interfere with nutrient uptake and increase the chance of root rot. Hydroponic Systems can also heat up due to high-intensity lighting, pump heat or during hot summer months. For maximum production and highest dissolved oxygen, the nutrient solution temperature should remain between 68 and 75°F. Use with a pump filter bag (product #J_728188 or # J_728190).
